The President leads and represents the Doctoral Student Union (EDÖK). They are responsible for preparing, convening, and chairing the meetings of the General Assembly and the Board of Presidents, as well as implementing and representing their decisions and documenting their proceedings. The President maintains continuous professional contact with the Rector and other senior leaders of the University, the President of the University Student Union (EHÖK), and the leaders and members of the Association of Hungarian Doctoral Students (DOSZ), as well as other members in higher education.

His task is to develop the Doctoral Students Union's internal operations, coordinate its strategy-making process, and harmonize the work of its representatives, officials, delegates, and presidential commissioners, while supporting their accountability.

Mr. Emmanuel OWUSU-ACHEAMPONG

His primary role is to establish and foster a close connection between the University’s international doctoral community and the University Doctoral Students Union (EDÖK). He coordinates student union communication tailored specifically for international PhD students and is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for integrating international doctoral students into student representation. Furthermore, he maintains active contact with relevant university departments and external organizations.

International Student Integration Knowledge Centre (InSINC) is an institutional initiative aimed at strengthening international students’ integration, inclusion, and engagement at ELTE through coordinated communication, programming, research, and advisory support.

The University Doctoral Students Union (EDÖK) takes part in the collaboration of many suborganisations (eg. Rectoral Cabinet's International Strategy Office, University Students Union (EHÖK), International Student Advisory Committee (ISAC) etc.) of ELTE focusing on international integration.

POST YOUR INITIATIVE

The InSINC Centre has started this initiative to encourage student-led activities and to promote creativity in campus, in order to integrate all students in the university life. All students currently enrolled at ELTE with an active status can share their project with the InSINC team in order to get it advertised on the webpage and get perhaps some help to make it happen.
